Madrid’s Dirty Stinky Subway

Time to change the garabage bin.

Picture courtesy of El Pais.)Sanitation workers for the Metro de Madrid, the subway system for the city of Madrid, Spain, went on strike on December 17th and a resolution has yet to be reached. While than 1,500 workers crowded the streets, commuters braved the odor, the mess, and the pranks.

Don't forget the broom.

According to the Spanish newspaper El Pais, the national police corp declared that the unions and the contracted sanitation companies identified 22 sanitation workers as the perpetrators of recent acts of vandalism in the metro. Cameras inside the metro recorded the vandals in mid act and captured as several commuters fell after slipping on oil dumped on the floor.
