Entitled “Holistic in the Heights,” this article discussed the new array of healthcare options available to residents of Northern Manhattan. The information I omitted from the article (but alluded to) dealt with the disparate use of holistic medical practices between the more affluent side of our community and the impoverished one. The already apparent east of broadway/west of broadway racial and socioeconomic divide in the neighborhood is now punctuated by a difference in the knowledge and access a sector of the community has to certified practitioners of alternative medicine.
